Hi Alex,

Any chance you would be free on the 5th of May? I'm looking for people to be judges at the Young Enterprise Scotland Finals and thought it might be a good opportunity for you?

Hope things with you are good, let me know soon if you can do it!

Cheers!

yeh joomlas a bit of a maze, drupal and moodle are a little better. the new virtual campus at RGUs moodle.
The sooner CMS's change their frameworks to python/django/rails etc the better. Scalability as an issue just ceases to exist (pretty much) and the ease and speed of development & implementation multiplies ridiculously. 2yrs+ rails and django are where its all at.

Anyway just my worthless opinion; i'm sure at some point everything i've just said will be widely discredited!

Cheers,

Colin

Peter, I get it!

I have just attended the enterprise academy with SIE and all weekend Peter Van Bruchem was constantly drilling me about the importance of focus.

The reason for this post is because he has highlighted a big mistake that we have made. To be honest it's really embarrassing admitting to this mistake but I feel that it is important that others don't make the same one.

One of the reasons why it is important for us to focus on a reall… Continue

Hey,

This is a side project that I wish to get up and running but do not have the time to do so. It is totally non paid but is perfect if you really enjoy entrepreneurship.

Is could possibly be the little brother/sister of SIE aimed at school kids to show that they have another option than university or a job.

Basically, I am looking for volunteers who would be willing to maintain the website. Currently, It is just a template of a shop but needs totally redesigned.

If you are interest… Continue

You're brilliant, we're hiring!

We are now looking for brilliant php developers and front-end coders (css etc) to come and help us out. If you can help us or know anyone who can then please get in touch here.

We are now a European company as we are in the process of setting up a Spannish HQ which is scary and exciting.

Anyway, get in touch if you can help......

Cheers

Home page hijack

Ok, in true SIE style, I'm hijacking the home page with this blog post because I need everyone's help!

Here at ecommo we've created ecommerce systems for small business to get selling online within minutes and without any setup fees.

We need small businesses to test our system. We need to hit 100 users before we launch the system live so if you need the ability to sell online or know anyone who does then come and see us at www.ecommo.com.

Cheers,

Alex

New Idea

I think that the follow five are important when thinking about a new idea

1.Treat you idea as disposable. When the idea comes to you in a moment of genius, it is very difficult not to think that it is the best invention ever. However, this way of thinking gets a lot of entrepreneurs into trouble because their selective vision ignores the warning signs. Personally, when i get a new idea, i try and disprove it. If i cannot find an obvious way that it will fail then i'll look a bit harder a… Continue
